The connector starts from inside your network. You pick the exact local service and port. Link does not scan the rest.

Install the connector on the computer that already runs your software. Point Link at one service. Use the address from an approved device or application. Public access can be turned off without deleting the local application.
Install the Link connector on the computer running your local agent, MCP, website, or platform.
Tell Link exactly which local service it should connect to. This may be a Hermes interface, an OpenClaw interface, a custom HTTP or WebSocket service, or a Streamable HTTP MCP.
Link gives the configured service a stable address. You can then reach it through an approved device or connect it to an authorized application.
Link does not become the host for your agent, MCP, website, database, memory, or business platform. Those systems stay on your hardware.

Link can observe routing information, connection timing, state, addresses, and encrypted traffic volume. It is designed not to read the application content carried through the connection.
